Abstract

|
This manuscript is written for illuminating the diagnostic challenges in patients who present with both headache and neck pain. The differential diagnosis for headache and neck pain includes many conditions. Furthermore, multiple headache disorders may be present within the same patient. After understanding pathophysiology of cervicogenic headache and diagnostic criteria, careful history taking, neurological exam and appropriate imaging study is recommended for accurate diagnosis. A multidisciplinary team approach addressing all components of the headache may lead to better outcomes for these patients.
